Delhi is really two cities, and most day tours only manage one of them. The morning here goes to the Mughal north — Jama Masjid before the courtyard fills, the Chandni Chowk lanes as the shutters go up, and the spice market at Khari Baoli when it is at its most active. The afternoon crosses south to Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar, which take late light far better than midday sun.
The order is not aesthetic. Old Delhi traffic is at its worst from late morning, and the lanes are genuinely unpleasant in afternoon heat — arriving at half past eight rather than eleven can save the better part of an hour. The southern monuments are wide, open and best in the last hours of daylight.

Monday closes four of Delhi's big sights at once
Red Fort, Akshardham, the Lotus Temple and the National Museum are all shut on Mondays. Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Jama Masjid and India Gate stay open, so a Monday still works — we just build the day around what is open rather than discovering it at the gate.
No shopping stops, ever
Many Delhi day tours route you through a government emporium or handicraft showroom because the operator earns commission on what you buy. We do not, which is why our day fits in another monument where others fit in a showroom.
Entry fees add up across three ASI sites
Red Fort, Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar are each around ₹600 for foreign visitors and ₹35 for Indian citizens — roughly ₹1,800 against a ₹35 total on the same day. That is a real part of the cost of the day, which is why we confirm the exact figure in writing before anything is paid rather than letting it surface at the gate.

Questions about this tour
Is one day enough to see Delhi?
One day covers Old Delhi properly and two or three of the southern monuments, which is a genuinely good introduction. It is not enough to cover Delhi comprehensively, and any itinerary promising seven or eight stops is counting time in the car as sightseeing. If you have two days, the second one changes the trip — tell us and we will build it.
What does a full day Delhi tour cover?
Jama Masjid, the Chandni Chowk lanes and the Khari Baoli spice market in the morning; Red Fort before lunch; then Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar and the Mehrauli complex in the afternoon, with an India Gate drive-past on the way back. Around nine hours door to door from your hotel.
Why does the tour start at 8am?
Two practical reasons. The Chandni Chowk lanes are far better before the heat and before the crowds, and Old Delhi traffic builds sharply from late morning — an 8am start can save forty minutes over a 10am one. The southern monuments then get the late afternoon light, which suits them better than midday.
Are entry tickets included in the price?
No. We book them on your behalf so you skip the counter queue, and bill them separately with the exact amount confirmed in writing before you pay anything. Budget roughly ₹600 per foreign visitor at each of Red Fort, Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar, or ₹35 each for Indian citizens.
Can we do this tour on a Monday?
Yes, with one change. Red Fort is closed on Mondays, as are Akshardham, the Lotus Temple and the National Museum. Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Jama Masjid and India Gate all stay open, so we extend the Old Delhi morning and add Mehrauli Archaeological Park in the afternoon. It is a quieter day, and arguably a better one.
