Half a day in Delhi is more common than people expect — an arrival morning before a hotel check-in, a departure day with an evening flight, or a spare afternoon between meetings. This is built for exactly that, and it does one half of the city properly rather than both badly.
You choose which half. The morning version takes Old Delhi — Jama Masjid while the courtyard is quiet, the Chandni Chowk lanes, the spice market and Red Fort. The afternoon version takes the south: Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar in the light that suits them, with Mehrauli Archaeological Park next door, which almost nobody visits.

Good to know
Old Delhi suits mornings, the south suits afternoons
This is not a preference. The Chandni Chowk lanes are unpleasant in afternoon heat and the traffic there builds from late morning, while the sandstone at Qutub Minar and Humayun's Tomb goes flat and white under midday sun and comes alive in the last hours of light. Tell us which half of the day you have and we will point you at the right one.
Monday closes four of Delhi's big sights at once
Red Fort, Akshardham, the Lotus Temple and the National Museum are all shut on Mondays. Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Jama Masjid and India Gate stay open, so a Monday still works — we just build the day around what is open rather than discovering it at the gate.
It works as an arrival or departure day
If your flight leaves in the evening we can drop you at the airport rather than the hotel, with luggage in the car. Tell us the flight number when you book and we will set the timings against it with a proper buffer.

What can you see in Delhi in half a day?
One half of the city, properly. The morning version covers Jama Masjid, the Chandni Chowk lanes, the spice market and Red Fort. The afternoon version covers Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar and Mehrauli Archaeological Park. Trying to cover both halves in five hours means an hour of it spent crossing the city.
Should I choose the morning or afternoon option?
If you can choose, take the morning and see Old Delhi — the lanes are at their best early and the traffic there worsens through the day. If your free time is the afternoon, take the southern monuments instead; they photograph far better in late light than at midday, which is the reverse of Old Delhi.
Can this tour fit around my flight?
Yes, and it is one of the main reasons people book it. We can pick up from or drop at the airport rather than a hotel, with your luggage in the car. Give us the flight number when you book and we will set the timings against it, keeping a proper airport buffer rather than a tight one.
Is a half day tour worth it, or should I just do a full day?
If you have a full day free, take the full day — it covers both halves of the city and works out better value per hour. The half day exists for the situation where you genuinely do not have more time, which is common on arrival and departure days. It is a real tour rather than a cut-down one.
Is the guide and car private?
Yes. Every tour we run is private — your own licensed guide and your own air-conditioned car with a chauffeur who stays with you for the whole five hours. You are never joined to another group and never waiting at a meeting point.
